Your website exists. It's been up for a few years. Occasionally someone finds it. But it almost never generates a real inquiry. You've assumed this is just how websites work for your type of business. It isn't.
The headline is doing the wrong job
Most service business websites lead with the company name and tagline. Nobody cares about your company name when they have a burst pipe. They want to know: can you help me, are you local, and can I trust you? Your headline should answer those three questions in eight words or fewer.
The call to action is buried or wrong
If your primary CTA is a contact form buried at the bottom of the page, most visitors leave before finding it. A phone number and a simple "Request a Quote" button need to be visible above the fold on mobile — where over 60% of your visitors are browsing.
No trust signal before the ask
A visitor who doesn't know you needs to see evidence before they're willing to share their contact information. Real customer reviews, photos of your work, and a simple explanation of your process reduce friction dramatically. Without these, a great offer still doesn't convert.
The page is slow on mobile
A WordPress site with three plugins loading on a 4G connection can take 6–8 seconds. Most visitors leave after 3. Page speed isn't a technical nice-to-have — it's the first conversion factor.
