A lot of cleaning businesses I came across in Calgary were running on word of mouth and a Facebook page — good at the work itself, but with no real website and no ads bringing in new clients. Meanwhile a competitor with a decent site and a couple of ad campaigns running was picking up the residential and commercial jobs they were missing out on.
The gap wasn't the quality of the cleaning. It was that nobody searching "cleaning company Calgary" could find them, and nobody was running ads to put them in front of the right homeowners or businesses.
